1. For a natural look use a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation.

2. Apply a beige creamy eyeshadow along the lashline , then apply a light brown with a touch of bronze from the eyelid crease to the browbone.

Now draw a big line with a liner  along your lashline. Don't forget to drag out the line a little bit , which is the key to "cateyes."

Furthermore draw a line with a white khol along the inner lashline of your lower lid.

For a magical look use a lot of mascara.

3. Instead of blush use a bronzer to accentuate your cheekbones.

4. Use  a colourless gloss for the lips.

Altough she's rahter a natural type of woman , I think the more sophisticated make-up looks incerdible too.

Teint: Because of her pretty freckels this look rather need a very light powder than a thick foundation.
           Now add some pink blush on the cheekbone.
Eyes: Apply a light brown eyeshadow on the lid and blur it to the outside.
          Now use a khol in a darker brown to draw a line along the lashlines.
          Only use a bit of mascara for the upper lashes.
          Also use an eyebrow pencil , it will give your  face more contour.
Lips: Apply a transparent gloss on yout lips.

The Look of Grace Kelly

Unforgetable Hollywood legend also known as Her Serene Highness the Princess of Monaco.
One of the many people who had to die much to early.

Ho to do :
Important for the look is the pure teint. So you first hide your flaws with a concealer and the cover your face with a good foundation in a way , that your skin still looks natural. Now fix everything with some powder.
The eyes are emphasized only slightly. You only have to use a little bit of a light brown eyeshadow and mascara  for the upper lashline.
At this look the focus is one the lips. First you surround and fill the lips with a tomato red lipliner. Afterwards put some gloss on your lips in exact the same colour as your lipliner is.

The Look of Maya Deren

Born as Eleanora Solomonovna Derenkovskaya in Kiew  , Maya Deren went to be on of the best and most notable avantgarde directors. Due to a Guggenheim-scholarship  , she could film and write about haitian voodoo , whole spending time on the island. Her book about voodoo is one of the most remarable of it's subject.

How to do:

Brush the brows and fill them with an eyebrow pencil.

Use a bit of mascara and put some pink lipstain.

To complete the look put a pinkish red nailpolish on the fingernails.

The Look of Tallulah Bankhead

How to do:

Use a  good foundation  for a flawless look.

Then , add a light grey eyeshadow on the whole lid and put a darker grey on the outer thirdt of the it and blur it to the outside.Now draw a fine line with an eyeliner close to the lashes and put a bit  of mascara on.

Surround the lips with a dark red lipliner and fill them with a lipstick of the same colour. At last  , put dark red lipgloss on top of it.



Beauty Icon : Jean Shrimpton

Back in the 60's Jean Shrimpton was a hot shot. Known as the "Symbol of Swinging London" , she helped to launch the miniskirt in Australia , while wearing it at the Victoria Derby in Melbourne. In beauty history she'll be rembered for her wide doe-eyes , long wispy eyelashes , arched brows and pouty lips.

How to create her look

Add silver or icy blue eyeshadow on the lower lid and on the movable lid. Use black eyeshadow (e.g. "Barocco Trio Fards à Paupières" by Clarins) to accentuate the crease. Now , draw a very thin line with eyeliner (e.g "Penultimate Eyeliner" by MAC) close to the lashes. Apply a white kohl  on the inner lid. Mascara all lashes several times .

For having Jean's Eyebrows , draw fine lines with an eyebrow pencil  between your own.

Use blush  to accentuate your cheekbones.

For the lips , use a glossy pastel pink lipstick .

A Gypsy's Dream

This blue picture of a flamenco dancer reminds me to spicy scents and hot temperament.

Papaya, yum yum!

So this is one of my first real tries to make a good photo. Actually I just did it because of my art lessons. We had to photograph a fruit because we had to draw it in the lessons. This is not the photo for my art picture, I drew a mango there, but I had so much fun drawing the mango that I wanted to draw another fruit at home. So this is the photo I draw now. It's not very good, but it's one of my first tries with this camera, a Nikon D3000.

I want a big career, a big man, and a big life. You have to think big - that`s the only way to get it... I just couldn`t stand being anonymous

The Notebook

Colourful life, colourful love.

So, here is a new self-portrait of myself. I gotta say, I really like it and I think that it is one of my best shots.
I had the idea to post something about love, but not as sad as my pictures often are, I wanted something positive in the picture, so I had the idea to colour myself. Quickly I had an imagination about that photo and I finally made it become reality. I took a few shots of all three photo's you can see here and this is the final result.

Excuse me, I'm an artist.

This is a quite old picture; October 2009, but I still like it. Shot & edited by myself.
By the way, I gotta say, I love the shirt I'm wearing here. I bought in the 'New Yorker' store in Amsterdam. The scarf is from a souvenir shop on the German isle Borkum, I don't remember its name. And I wear a normal black pair of leggins which you can by almost everywhere.
